With a score of 73 out of a possible 100 points, Heraeus significantly improved on the previous year's result by 13 points. This places Heraeus among the top 5% of companies evaluated by EcoVadis. The rating is based on four topics: Environment, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. The high scores in the areas of environment as well as labor and human rights reflects the special commitment of Heraeus Precious Metals.

EcoVadis is a global provider of corporate sustainability ratings. The EcoVadis methodology is based on international sustainability standards, including the Global Reporting Initiative, the United Nations Global Compact and ISO Guideline 26000. In total, more than 90,0000 companies from over 160 countries and 200 different industries are evaluated by EcoVadis with regard to their corporate activities.
